Percent. The porosity of an aquifer is 16%. What is the actual volume of pore space? Hint:Multiply the aquifer volume by the porosity. (300 ft by 250 ft. Thickness=3 ft).|||You would multiply the porosity by the volume of the aquifer.

Volume of the aquifer = 300 ft x 250 ft x 3 ft = 225,000 ft^3

Porosity = 16% or .16

Vol. x porosity = 225,000 ft^3 x 0.16 = 36,000 ft^3
