Is it legal for an employer to forfeit your annual leave when u resign, ie,no encashment or offset, in s'pore?

Ahhh, Yeah! You resigned. You just get a last check.|||I don%26#039;t know what %26quot;s%26#039;pore%26quot; is, but no, it%26#039;s not legal in the US. Annual leave, or vacation, is part of your compensation, just like your salary. The company has two choices. Provide you with a cash equivalent for the vacation time that is accumulated, or allow you to remain on payroll while on %26quot;vacation%26quot; even though you will not be returning to work afterward. Essentially it%26#039;s the same thing.|||I believe it is illegal to do so unless it was otherwise stated in your letter of employment.

You will need to check what kind of contract you had signed when u first joined, my dear.|||You may want to contact a %26quot;employer attorney.%26quot;....for the answer to that question. Not sure.|||I think so.|||yes in most states but i think in CA it isn%26#039;t...i could be wrong|||yes it is.
